Job Title: Level 2 Swimming Teacher (Self Employed)
Location: Aquanauts Swim School, Sir Thomas Rich’s School, Longlevens, Gloucester
Hours: Friday Evenings, 16:20 - 18:35 (2.25 hours), term time only

Aquanauts Swim School is looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our team. You will play a key role in teaching swimming to our intermediate class (Stages 3 and 4), focusing on developing skills and confidence for swimmers progressing through these levels. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a range of abilities and is committed to delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with Swim England standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess structured swimming lessons for intermediate swimmers in Stages 3 and 4.
Teach water safety, stroke techniques, and swimming skills as outlined by Swim England guidelines.
Provide individual feedback and create progression plans to help each swimmer improve and succeed.
Ensure the safety of all participants through active supervision and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Create a motivating and positive environment that encourages swimmers to build confidence and skills.
Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure seamless lesson delivery.
Keep accurate records of swimmers' progress, attendance, and achievements.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and swimmers regarding their progress, goals, and any necessary feedback.
Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.

Requirements:
Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming Qualification (or equivalent).
Strong understanding of the Swim England Water Skills and Rainbow Distance framework.
Experience teaching swimming across a wide range of abilities and age groups.
A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required.
First Aid and CPR certifications (preferred but not essential).
Lifeguard qualification (preferred but not essential).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A passion for teaching swimming and working with children, combined with a patient and positive attitude.

Desirable Attributes:
Experience working with children in a teaching or coaching environment.
Ability to motivate and inspire swimmers of all levels.
Knowledge of health and safety practices related to swimming and aquatic activities.
